Helping Hands

Every year after the holidays it takes us about a month to get back on track. It helps that the days are getting longer and we are no longer in the holiday rush. It also helps that this year I have two able bodied individuals who have lots of energy and are eager to lend assistance. I was working on laundry at the time the above photo was taken. Both Norah and Justin were helping to fold laundry, put laundry into baskets, and put laundry away.

The only issue I had with their very enthusiastic help was that there was no regard to whether the laundry was clean or just pulled from the hamper and no rhyme or reason to it's ultimate location. In short, it was chaotic.

I thanked them for their help and then quickly distracted them in another room. Once they were down for their naps, I returned to the disaster site to begin clean-up operations. I soon had it all back to normal, but left the clothes in Jeff's cabinet that belonged to myself and Norah. When he got home that night, I had Norah and Justin show him how they had helped me by putting away the laundry. He found it pretty funny, and the kids were very proud of themselves!
