Meet the Teacher

Today we got to take Norah to go and see her classroom and meet her teacher.  Unfortunately her teacher wasn't there (she wasn't feeling well).  But we did get to see the classroom, find Norah's locker, and tour the school.  It was a surreal moment as we realized that in just a few short days, Norah would be off to school.  At the same time, it was exciting and she can't wait to start school!

Walk to the Park

We decided to take advantage of the cooler morning temperature and take a walk to the neighborhood playground.  With their sunscreen and "shades" they were ready for some fun!

A Day with Grandma

Today was a special day for Norah and Grandma.  Grandma took Norah on a girls day out, where they went to lunch and shopped for some new clothes for school.  She let Norah pick the restaurant (being my daughter and her grandma's granddaughter of course she picked Nordstrom's Bistro) for her special lunch, and then the two went shopping.

They came home a few hours later, both grinning and sharing stories from the day.  I was told that while Norah is usually pretty quiet when she's in a big group, she talked to her grandma non-stop the entire time.  Giggling and laughing as the two of them ate and looked for clothes.

She came home with two beautiful new dresses and some really cute new shorts and shirts.  The above outfit is one that Norah put together!  It was a great opportunity for the two of them to spend some time together and it was obvious they both really enjoyed their day.

Protecting Their Kids

Norah and Justin were extremely pleased with themselves this afternoon.  They were defending all their "kids" from pirates and sharks.  They built a fort for them using as many pillows as they could find, and a few blankets as well.

Silliness with Stickers

The kids were giggling like crazy in the back seat.  I turned around and saw that they had smuggled stickers into the car.  They were delighted with their perceived sneakiness!

Like Father Like Son

Justin, like his Daddy, is completely obsessed with watermelon.  He was so excited about having watermelon that night, he acted silly all day.  Much to everyone's relief, as soon as daddy got home (with said fruit) it was cut and distributed!
