Lately Norah has been critiquing Jeff's clothing choices. On our way out the door she noticed he was dressed in brown slacks with a blue button up shirt. We thought he looked very handsome, but her response to this choice of ensemble was, "You're wearing brown pants with that?" while rolling her eyes and scrunching up her nose.
The next day, the outfit I picked out for Justin wasn't what he wanted.....not Star Wars. So he went to his room and cried for a bit. Then all I could hear was him moving around in his room. He then marched out wearing shorts from the previous day, his pajama top, and rolling backpack en tow, informing me that he was going on a "new vacation". I learned that this means sitting on the floor next to the kitchen, humming "Luke's Theme" and playing by himself.
And we aren't even to the teen years yet.
