Batter UP!

Spring time is time for baseball.  Sadly our kids had only a very mild exposure to the game, I took them outside and got to work with fundamentals.  Justin exhibits deadly throwing accuracy and surprising velocity.  What Norah lacks in accuracy and velocity, she more than makes up for in flare.  Norah's throwing motion takes pointers from ballet class and involves a dramatic twirl.

Both kids have good hand-eye coordination although we think Justin's sword fighting practice has given him a slight edge over Norah at the plate.  Both kids like batting and throwing and are very patient, sharing and waiting their turn.

I showed them that I could toss the ball up and hit it beyond our neighbor Page's house, and that started a new game altogether.  Their favorite part of baseball is watching Daddy hit the ball, at which point they start a mad scramble to see who can retrieve the ball first and get it back to start over again.
