We took the kids to the beach today to play in the sun, surf and sand.
They loved it.
We played in the sand.
We watched surfers and sailboats go by.
We hunted for the perfect sea shells and rocks.
We got our hands dirty.
We loved it.
We played in the water.
Laughing the whole time.
We wrote in the sand and drew pictures.
We stared off into the sunset.
We played in the sea weed.
With the wind blowing through our hair we ran through the sand.
We covered our feet in sand, getting it between the toes.
Some of us built sand castles.
Some of us demolished them.
We loved it.
We ran from incoming waves.
We ran back into them, then away again.
We ran through the sand as the sun started to set.
We loved it.
We played with sticks we found in the sand.
We climbed on rocks.
Standing at the top of the world.
Then fell sound asleep, wrapped in blankets.
Some of us got back up to hang with the guys.
