Norah

Norah loves this hat and causes quite a stir as she wears it everywhere she goes. It has been well loved and doesn't quite look so crisp since this picture was taken.

She looks very southern in her wide brimmed hat and has all the sass and style to go along with it!

Nap time seems to require a menagerie of animals, although she will only allow 4 specific animals at bedtime. Nobody knows why Mommy Pig, baby pig, heart bear, and puppy receive this special honor. Mommy Sleeping Beauty and Baby Sleeping Beauty are allowed, but Cinderella and Ariel's presence will cause a very negative reaction.

Norah has always had good verbal skills, but she has gone from repeating sentences to repeating entire conversations verbatim from memory. She'll make a good wife for somebody someday!

She's also memorized the alphabet song (still needs help at Q,R,S, T, U, "P"). Her version of Scooby Doo (Scooby Scooby Scooby) will get stuck in your head for days. Her favorite and most often sung tune is Jesus Loves Me (little ones to "take-along"), and her confidence improves each day. She smiles broadly and is adorable when she sings. Sometimes she thinks people are not paying sufficient attention so she sings REALLY LOUDLY, so loudly that her voice cracks constantly, prompting Justin to scream even more loudly to express his displeasure. This generally leads to an escalation of sorts that creates outbreaks of gray hair and early onset deafness in their parents, particularly in the car.

Norah picks up on tunes very quickly and can sing back in response, matching pitch, but the most impressive development is her ability to create her own songs. She frequently sings whatever is on her mind and puts it to a familiar tune like Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star, but she often does her own thing completely.
