Secret Ingredient....Love!

Grandma trying to entice Norah into finishing up her lunch before starting to make Christmas cookies.

Norah and Grandma getting out all the cookie baking necessities. Norah kept patting Mom on the back all the while talking and giggling.

Norah was curious as to what Justin was up to. When she saw that he had been given some measuring cups to play with, she promptly took them out of his hands and walked off with them leaving him very confused.

We explained that those were for him to play with and they were returned to him post haste! Justin was very pleased with the turn of events and went back to happily chewing on them.

Norah sat surprisingly still on the "big girl" chair while Grandma finished pulling the last of the cooking utensils that we would need.

Norah and Grandma stirring up the ingredients.

Norah excited about having spread all the flour around and getting ready to start rolling out the dough.

Norah offering a helping hand!

Grandma teaching Norah how to roll out cookie dough!
It still needs a little bit more flour!
Norah expressing to Grandma her dislike of having her hands dirty!
Yay, it's time to cut cookies!
Grandma and Norah cutting out the cookies.
Norah and Mommy working together on the second batch, and covered in even more flour!
Can you see all the flour that made it onto her clothes! She was the least covered in it if that tells you anything. We are nothing if not enthusiastic cooks!
Justin worn out by all the commotion!
Norah very tired from her baking and taste testing (of course) experience! I would say the day was a success! We made lots of yummy cookies that were decorated, and then devoured by everyone. We'll have to do it again soon though just to stay in practice!
