Breakfast with Santa

Each year at our church the Methodist Men's group gets together and organizes an event called Breakfast with Santa. For a small fee (which goes towards charity) you can come as a family (Patrick and Mom joined us) and enjoy a morning of all you can eat pancakes and sausages, games, a Nativity story, and pictures with Santa. The event is extremely well organized, it's obvious these guys have worked out all the kinks.

As we came in, one gentleman was singing and playing Christmas carols on a guitar. The trees were all decorated, and we were seated and immediately served breakfast and drinks (no buffet here). The guys were great. They kept coming and checking on everyone, making sure that we had enough to eat and drink. When we were done with that it was time for the games! Norah loved throwing the bean bags (unfortunately she still throws them to/at people instead of the target) and hated waiting in lines. Justin got tired half way through and fell sound asleep!

When our number was called we headed upstairs to have the kids picture taken with Santa. Norah screamed the whole time while Justin simply sat gnawing on his sleeve while on Santa's knee. We were tired by the time we got home, but it was a fun morning and we later learned that it was a success in raising money too!
