Keeping Busy

Rain has soaked the ground, and while we are in dire need of rainfall, it doesn't help keep two very active kids entertained. In an effort to combat extreme boredom and stir craziness I took the kids to the mall where I let them play on the playground until they were almost too tired to stand up. For whatever reason, we were basically the only ones there, and so they were able to run and jump and crash their way across the play area without having to dodge other wild kids. They had so much fun and were so good that as a special treat afterwards, I surprised them by letting them pick out a cookie as a snack. Needless to say they slept very soundly that night!
