Having Fun

This week has been a fairly rough one, and because of the unexpected events of Monday, we didn't get out of the house at all. The kids were fine with it the first couple of days, especially with the baby pool outside. After Wednesday, when we didn't even step outside, I was planning on spending a good portion of the day outdoors. Those plans were immediately put on hold when Justin woke up in the middle of the night running a fever.

In an attempt to be a good parent I decided against playing in 90 degree heat with a 100 degree fever and so was highly unpopular- for a time.

Then the kids decided to take advantage of all the toys in Justin's room.I could hear the giggles and talking from the other room, and so peeked in every now and then to see what was going on. I found Justin and Norah (with Justin standing in the ark) playing on the floor having a great time. I was dismayed by the toys that had been emptied from their bins - that would be ALL of them, but decided to let them keep themselves entertained.

It wasn't long after that, that I again heard LOTS of laughter coming from his room, accompanied by loud thumps. I grabbed the camera and was equal parts horrified and humored to discover them flopping in his chair so enthusiastically.
