Coming Home

Today was an exciting but tiring day! We were discharged from the hospital, allowing us to return home to begin our lives as a family of four. To lessen the chaos of the day my mom and sister kept Norah at the house for us so that we could focus on Justin, and all the paperwork involved in leaving the hospital with an infant. It was much easier this time around as we knew what to expect and I had come prepared with a file folder to keep track of everything.

By mid-afternoon we were ready to go with Justin in his car seat, the bag packed, and the flowers and gifts loaded up. We were home in just a few minutes to find Norah eagerly awaiting our arrival. She was excited that we had brought home her baby and was frantic to give Justin lots of kisses. He took the events of the day in stride, content to sleep the majority of the day. It was also a relief to come home to a house that had been cleaned from top to bottom, all the laundry run, and dinner in the refrigerator - thanks Mom!

It was a wonderful feeling to finally be home, as a family of four, for the first time.
