In terms of his growth, he is still 21" long, but his weight has not increased as much as the doctor hoped. He is currently 8 lbs 3.4 oz and has not recovered to his birth weight of 8 lbs 5.7ozs. This is not a major concern because he is so close, but is a frustration none the less because he just isn't as interested in eating as Norah was. I am worried that it's a result of acid reflux, but can't really confirm it. The pediatrician has decided that she will give him another two weeks to catch up and re-evaluate at that point, but I'm to call if anything concerning happens in the mean time.
Overall he is a very easy going baby, and while he does fuss more than Norah did, he's definitely easier to comfort. Norah loves having him around and gets furious with us if she's not allowed to touch or kiss him. His poor head is usually damp from all of the kisses he receives!
As for me, I'm doing great as this recovery time has been much faster than with Norah. I'm no longer taking any medication and am back in my regular clothes. We have been getting out of the house and running errands with my mom. These outings have kept all of us sane!
Life has definitely been chaotic with the two of them but we're slowly getting into a rhythm. It's also helped that our friends from my "Mom's Group" at church and our Sunday school class have been providing us with meals on a nightly basis. Additionally, the help my mom and sister have provided during the day have been invaluable. Thanks to all of their help I've been able to spend more time with Justin while Norah plays with her grandma and aunt.
