Surprise Bible Study Baby Shower!

In September of 2006 Jeff and I decided to take a Bible Study course through our Church. We were looking for more ways to become involved, and thought that this would be the perfect starting place. We were also looking for a way to focus our attention and time on something other than infertility treatments.

I think we were both slightly overwhelmed by the amount of reading and commitment involved in taking a course like this, but have really enjoyed it. We have had some very thought provoking discussions as we prepare for the coming week's lesson, and have come to have a better understanding of the Bible. It has been an incredible journey so far, and it has only just started. We've agreed that we would like to continue with the study program (it has four levels), as this class has shown us how much more there is to learn.

We have also met some wonderful people in our class. They are a group of people that listen to ideas, encourage questions, and never make anyone feel foolish. We have all shared many joys and concerns over the past few months, and we are blessed to have them in our lives. They have provided a great deal of comfort and support to us from the times we were enduring infertility treatments, to tonight when they surprised us with a baby shower, including cake, punch, strawberries and presents! We really appreciate their generosity and thoughtfulness.

We've now received several pieces of clothing, but it's always amazing to see each tiny piece and realize it's life sized.
