The kids and I were excited to wake up to a snow filled morning once again and took full advantage of it. It took us almost a half hour to get everyone suited up and ready to head outside. Norah and Justin played happily in the snow, throwing it, shoveling it, stomping through it and kicking it.

Norah, who gets cold very quickly, was ready to back inside after about 10 minutes of hard play. Her little hands were, well....like ice, so I let her back inside while I tried to coax her very determined brother to come in as well.

Justin was desperate to stay out in the snow and flatly refused to come in. I tried explaining to him that his hands were going to get too cold and start to hurt if he didn't, but the only response I received was a pair of red gloves thrown out the window of their little house. He then started playing in the snow in his bare hands as if to prove a point.

When I finally managed to get him inside, he never once complained about his hands hurting as the warmth returned to them. I honestly believe that they didn't bother him at all. After we were inside it was time for a warm bath, a hot lunch and cuddle time! Not a bad way to spend the day.
