The kids love to help, so today we all had a great day. First they helped me mix the pancake batter, then they helped me eat the pancakes. 
I had to do some routine winter tree trimming and decided to take the kids outside to observe. They both love being outside, and everyone knows how much Justin likes tools. It was a welcome break following so many recent illnesses. 
Norah and Justin harvested acorns from the lawn while I trimmed the trees, then their faces lit up when I asked them to help drag the severed limbs back to the alley. 
They impressed themselves with their ability to move limbs 3 times their own length, then they carefully helped me saw through a couple branches on the ground. 
Heather got home from work in time to snap a couple photos for good measure.
