Norah's New Expressions/ Antics

Norah has started using more complex sentence structures in her communication with us. Some of her new phrases right now are:

"Calm Down Daddy/Mommy" - depending on who's scolding her!

"It's okay, you're fine" - to be said when Justin hurts himself or if she has stolen whatever he is playing with and he's upset.

"It's okay, I'm fine, thank you" - stated very calmly and in response to being asked to do something she doesn't want to do, like picking up toys, sharing, or putting her hair up in a pony tail. This always reminds us of the scene in the movie airplane when Robert Stack asks "How bout some coffee Johnny?", to which his squirrelly assistant replies "No thanks."

As funny as her new phrases are, it's been very entertaining to watch her start to pretend. It's amazing that she now understands this concept, but to see it in action is even better. She pretends to serve tea, or eat french fries (the flags to her castle), or be a puppy dog. Every morning when I come in to get her, she starts crawling around her crib, panting. She is a little puppy dog until I take her out of the crib, at which point she returns to being our Norah.
