Our attempts to encourage Justin to walk to us have brought about an unexpected result that has us both laughing and cringing simultaneously. Normally Jeff and I sit across from each other and have Justin walk back and forth between us, saying "Walk to Mommy/Daddy". He normally crashes after just a few steps, causing us to reach out and catch him to protect him from falling too hard.
After observing this a couple of times, Norah decided it looked like fun and she wanted to be a part of it too. She went up to Justin, held out her arms and said "Walking to Norah" though it sounds more like "Walky to Norah". Justin being the trusting soul that he is, smiled, turned, and wobbled in her direction.
As Justin started to lose his balance, she grabbed a hold of him with both arms and they both toppled to the floor. They both laughed as they repeated the process over and over again. Norah enjoyed catching Justin so much that she stopped waiting for him to waiver, and just flat out tackled him before he even lost his balance. While it's funny to watch, we have been trying to discourage it since they are both looking a little worse for wear! Justin is starting to find less humor in his role as tackling dummy and will physically and verbally express his annoyance.
We were not able to capture this exact situation on video, however, the ones we do have for you show Justin trying to walk, and Norah imitating his walk!
