Climbing On Up

As we transition from Winter to Spring, I have been trying to go through the babies' closets and sort them. They have outgrown a lot of their clothing and most of it is for colder weather anyway. I normally enjoy doing this as it gives me a chance to reorganize their closets and see what they have and what they need for the upcoming months.

I have also been working more hours than normal, keeping us at home more than we are accustomed to during a regular week. This means that Norah and Justin, to a lesser degree, are getting very bored with home life. Our daily walks are brief, and then it's right back to the house. While I work on my daily tasks during the day, Norah and Justin have had to entertain themselves more than normal too.

As I worked to get Justin's room sorted, he played in his crib so that he was out of Norah's way, and Norah played with the toys in his room. And so it stayed until she noticed him up in his crib. At that point she decided that she needed to be with him. I really didn't want her in his crib because she screams when I take her out and I was almost ready to move into her room.

Being the creative and determined child that she is, she decided to take care of it herself. She grabbed the bedframe with both hands, stuck one foot between the bars, then the other, and simply scaled the crib on her own.

I think we've entered a new era, and I think we need to get out more.
