Toys! Toys! Toys!

In what sometimes feels like a futile attempt to get our house under control, we took the day to re-organize everything, including Norah's room and toys. While I worked on her closet and dresser, Jeff and Norah were in charge of sorting her toys. We keep some in her bedroom and some in the living room so that we aren't constantly dragging toys from one location to another.

Jeff and Norah put all the toys together in one spot, arranged them according to type and age appropriateness and then re-arranged them. By doing this we were able to rotate her toys, and put up some that were either too young for her interest (which are now in her brother's room) or too old (which will be introduced to her later). This will prevent her from becoming bored with the ones she sees more frequently and make room for toys she hasn't really gotten to play with.

Norah was overwhelmed by the mountain of toys that surrounded her (although not as much as Jeff and I were), but quickly tried to start playing with all of them. We are pretty sure that she won't need any more toys until she is at least 16 years old.

We don't need a bigger house to accommodate our growing family, but for the toys people have so generously given us!
