Shopping Carts or Chewtoys?

As stated in the last post, Norah has begun to truly make her wants and needs known through new methods that we have not previously seen. A normal morning for us begins with us bringing Norah to bed with us when she wakes up in the morning, and letting her cuddle until she is ready to spit out her pacifier. At which point we know she is ready to begin the day. This is a special time of the day, and on weekends it's even more so since it gives Jeff the opportunity to join in.

This morning as we were all laying there Jeff who had been in a sitting position, decided to lay back down. Norah did not like this decision in the least, and grabbed his hand, made sure she had his attention by vocalizing, then tried to pull him up.

Later in the morning, after church we headed to the grocery store. We put a cover over the cart, popped Norah in the seat, and started our stroll through the store. Somewhere around the canned goods Norah somehow maneuvered her cart cover out of the way, and managed to grab the dirty seatbelt strap from the cart to chew. A battle for control of the strap ensued. I had my hand on it, which she forcefully separated me from the strap so that she could continue to gnaw on it.

IN THE END, Mommy won this tug-o-war, but YUCK!
