Today is the only day of our vacation where we have absolutely NO pictures! The reason for this heinous crime? We went to the facility's water park and decided that:
Norah was hesitant at first about the slides, lazy river and wave pool, but we kept taking her on and into the different attractions, and within ten minutes her protests were silenced! Her favorite was the "green slide", one of the smaller slides that she found to be a great deal of fun. We even got to the point where I would hold her arms up in the air as we went down it!
Justin of course remains our water baby. Upon entering the lazy river he laid back on his back (while in his life vest of course) and floated along like a baby otter. He loved the slides and didn't protest when I put his arms up as we went down the different ones. He only got upset when the ginormous water barrel at the top of the park unexpectedly dumped a deluge of water onto his head. We tried to pay attention and avoid it, but it happened to him twice! He was a good sport though and shook it off pretty quickly.
Overall we had a great time and spent almost 2 hours there. We left earlier than we intended but that was only due to the babies being really cold. The water wasn't cold, but it wasn't warm either and both (especially Norah) began turning blue. When she started shivering too we decided it was time to go. Neither baby protested and both were sound asleep before we got back to our cabin.
- We didn't want to spend $10 on a lock for the locker we would have had to get.
- We didn't want to risk getting water in the camera and thereby preventing future events from being captured in pictures.
- We didn't want to risk having the camera being stolen by leaving it in the car or with our towels.
