On our last full day of vacation, we decided to head back to the State Park and wander around it's other hiking trails. We've been going there nearly 5 years, and had never strayed from the main trail, so we were all excited to go explore new trails! Norah and Justin were determined to run off the marked paths, throw rocks into any moving body of water, and dig with sticks in the sand and dirt. They loved it. We had to stop every few feet and wait while both babies drew pictures in the sand, but since we both love being outdoors, it wasn't too hard to do. It was refreshingly cool on the shaded path, the birds were singing, and everything was peaceful. We thoroughly enjoyed our time there, but eventually we had to return to the cabin and make preparations to return home to everyday life. The end of vacation normally makes us sad. Although we had a really good time, we were ready to go home.
