Our Little Pixie

Norah has an immense dislike for naps. The problem is that she still really needs to take one during the day. If she doesn't, she's fussy. Very fussy. It has become more and more difficult to get her to go lay down, even briefly, during the afternoon.

I had to come up with an effective diversion, to ease her protests, so I used all my creative Super-Mommy powers and envisioned all her favorite activities and devised a plan. Norah is a big fan of the Tinkerbell movies, and Tinkerbell lives in a place called "Pixie Hollow." I remembered how much my brothers and I loved building tents as kids. I took a gamble and asked her if she wanted to go sleep in Pixie Hollow.

I laid Norah down in her bed, then took her huge blanket that she received at Christmas, and draped it over one end of her crib, creating a small tent, henseforth known as Pixie Hollow! She loved it! For the time being, naptime is peaceful once again. Everybody clap your hands if you believe in fairies!
