Night of the Living Mess Makers

This evening Uncles Phillip, Russell and Patrick joined us for dinner, dessert and a movie. We are all HUGE fans of the comedy "Zombieland" and eagerly awaited the DVD release. We got together and hung out, enjoyed a great dinner, had Twinkies for dessert (movie reference), then watched the movie together after the kids went to bed.

The kids were being extremely entertaining during dinner for several reasons. The first being that they love it when their uncles come over. In fact it's gotten to a point that Norah will ask why "Fallup, Waffle, or Partrick didn't come to my house?" The guys are great with them and keep them busy by playing patiently in Norah's room with her, throwing a ball to Justin or playing music for the two of them on their phones.

Both kids were also intrigued by the Twinkies they were given. Norah has never been very interested in sweets, so we weren't surprised by her lack of enthusiasm. Justin, being our food lover, did surprise us by not really liking it. Or perhaps he's watched Ghostbusters too many times! Either way, they had more fun making their audience laugh than they did eating their dessert.
