Much to Norah and Justin's delight, we missed a couple of cabinet doors while child-proofing the house. While I was trying to get ready for work one evening, the two of them were playing at my feet. Normally they are content to shred the toilet paper rolls, upend the bath toys onto the floor, beat up the scale (which I like to do sometimes too), flush the toilet, and run off with my brushes.
Today they discovered the mystery that is the laundry cupboard- the only cabinets not fitted with child-proof latches. They started by opening and closing the doors. This progressed to opening and slamming the doors. From this point things escalated to Norah climbing into the laundry cabinet, with Justin cheering her on from the sidelines.
Is it any wonder that nothing ever gets done around here? Fortunately there was little chance of them hurting themselves and it kept them entertained so that I could finish up.
