Girls Day Out

This weekend was a busy one, filled with lots of "Girls Only" time.  In anticipation of her wedding, Aunt Sara planned a special weekend for the girls.  It involved getting our hair and makeup done (trial for the actual wedding day) and lunch out.  The day started off with everyone really excited.  We got ready and then left from Granny's house and headed to Aunt Sara's apartment.  There we collected Sara, and headed off to the salon.  Norah enjoyed the time with just the girls, talking quietly to Granny, taking lots of pictures with her camera, and working in her workbooks.

At the salon we were each taken by someone different to have our hair done.  Norah sat very still as the stylist worked on her hair, curling, pinning and spraying his way to a beautiful hair style.  The lady working with me was funny and we enjoyed chatting as she curled my hair and then put a comb in it (which didn't take long thanks to it's new length), making it look very retro!  Marilyn's stylist worked with her to create a new look that all of us fell in love with immediately.  He straightened her hair and everyone agreed it wasn't just a look for the wedding day, but a new look period.  Sara's stylist curled and pinned her hair into a stunning style that was both elegant and soft.  Everyone felt very pretty as we then went to the makeup department.

The makeup artist took her time, making each of us feel pretty and ready for the big day.  She even gave Norah a little blush and lip gloss so that she wouldn't feel left out.  After we finished we headed out to lunch to enjoy a bit more time together before meeting back up with the guys.  The day was both productive and lots of fun!  The best part of the day was at the end when Sara and Norah tried on their dresses together.  We got a sneak peek of how things would look the day of the wedding, and Norah go to practice fluffing and straightening Sara's train and veil.
