Finally Justin's Four

We normally celebrate Norah and Justin's birthdays at the same party, but this year we celebrated their birthdays separately.  Justin was not pleased, however his birthday finally arrived after twelve frustrating days of asking "Then tomorrow is going to be my birthday?".

He sprinted into our room the second he opened his eyes and excitedly asked if he could go look at his presents. With my head still on the pillow, I opened one eye to find Justin's face about 3 inches from mine as he fidgeted anxiously.  I gave him permission on the condition that he could not open them until Mommy got back from her run, and gave me a hug first.  The briefest hug in history was interrupted by a whoosh of air that sent Justin rocketing down the hallway to the living room where I could hear him "ooing an ahhing" over his impressive stack of gift wrapped presents.   As Mommy approached the house, she saw two little heads pop up in the window, then they disappeared to form the welcoming party at the front door.

Justin got a very appropriate mix of costumes, tools, cowboys, and pirates followed by a pancake breakfast.  Both kids played happily together with the new toys until it was time to celebrate at Chuck E. Cheese with lunch and games.  Justin darted from machine to machine, "booming" bad guys all the way, while Norah very quietly and carefully shopped for the right games. Justin claimed this was "the best day EVER!"

The Uncles came over for dinner that evening, and were promptly mobbed by the kids, then Phillip was kidnapped and carried off to Norah's room where both kids had a great time.  The evening concluded they each picked an uncle to read their favorite stories to them.  He had to wait a long time for it, but we think Justin had a very happy birthday considering the mix of food, fun and family.  Happy 4th Birthday Baby Bear!  We love you!
