Last Night in Her First Bed

Four and a half years ago, we brought home our sweet baby girl. She slept in a bassinet for the first few months in our room, and then we moved her to her crib. As she grew older and began climbing out of it at will, we converted the crib into a toddler bed. Lately we noticed that her mattress was in dire need of replacement. We also noticed that she was just an inch away from being unable to stretch out in her bed. Knowing that she grew four inches last year, we decided it was time to transition her bed once more.

Today we went in search of a mattress for her bed. Not a toddler mattress, but a full size one. Delivery day is tomorrow and while we are both excited and sad to see her bed transform for the final time, she is thrilled at the thought of being in a big girl bed. Tonight we said our prayers, sang "Sunshine" and kissed her goodnight, but not before taking one last picture of our sweet baby girl, no longer a baby, in her bed.
