Cutting Trees

Late yesterday afternoon Dad and I observed that their trees had crossing branches that would eventually damage each other. Eventually we grabbed some lopping shears to trim a couple, which turned into a full scale assault on the wild things. This did not go unnoticed by the kids who love helping with chores. Justin and Norah were right in the middle of things, cutting and hauling branches hither and yon. We finally quit at dusk.

After church and a seafood lunch the next day, Dad and I started working on trees again, and the kids happily joined us. They have an impressive work ethic and followed direction well, impressing Gramps and George with their ability to cut surprisingly thick branches. This didn't surprise me or Heather as we know tree cutting is a labor of love for Norah and Justin.
