Home Again

Our return home with Norah from the hospital was cause for celebration. After a very intense week, we were discharged from the hospital in the early evening on Tuesday. We picked up Justin from Dominika's house, then headed home as a family.

We gave Norah a bath to try and scrub all the tape from her arms and back. The kids played while we waited for the pizza to arrive. Norah and Daddy made a tent in our bedroom on the floor, while Justin played with his pirates in his bedroom. Norah started to run a fever around 8, at which point we dosed her with Motrin (it was only 99 degrees but we didn't want to take any chances after so recently leaving the hospital).

We made a cake the next morning for our neighbors who had rushed Jeff and Norah to the hospital, while keeping Justin safe at their house. We are very thankful and grateful for them and felt that it was the least we could do. The kids did all the decorating on it and were very proud of their handy work!

After dinner we decided to have ice cream (making a cake had us all in the mood for dessert) and the kids again got to decorate with sprinkles. They really enjoyed themselves though we are still uncertain as to how there could possibly be any blue sprinkles left in the bottle!
