I admit, I have a sweet tooth, and chocolate chip cookies are right up there on my list of favorites. Today while working on chores, I intermittently (and covertly) snacked on a little bag of bite sized cookies. Both kids had just finished lunch and I was getting ready to lay them down for a nap. I really didn't want to clean up chocolate smeared faces right then, and thought I would give them some cookies after dinner (yes I do occasionally share).
I was able to sneak two undetected, then I snagged a third one. I was walking over to put a toy away when Norah, who had been completely ignoring me, turned to me and quickly asked, "What are you eating?" Like the grown up adult that I am, I answered, "Nothing."
She looked at me and replied, "You eating cookie! I can smell it!"
Busted. Needless to say they had their cookies before nap time.
