Wisdom of Norah

Kids constantly learn new things and exhibit new behaviors. Sometimes their observations and understanding is stunning.

While Heather was at work this evening, I was trying to get the DVD player to play the Muppet Christmas Carol for the kids to watch. I was partially distracted by several things going on around me and was considering the remaining preparations for dinner. As I fumbled with the buttons on the tv, dvr, the dvd player, and their respective remotes, I was thinking aloud and I said some combination of the following "What are you doing? Why isn't this thing working? How hard is to just play a movie?" I sighed deeply, then heard Norah sigh too. She tilted her head to one side and slowly stated with an obvious tone of defeat and disappointment, along with perfect inflection, "Come on Cowboys."
It hit me immediately. My very perceptive 2 year old daughter has learned to associate disappointment and discouragement with OSU football.

Sigh.

ROFL!!! That is awesome!!! Exitement in this house equates to, "GO CHARGERS!" or, "TOUCHDOWN!"
