Leaving the Nursery

This morning I picked up Norah from the nursery as Jeff got Justin. I was paying attention to her as she was walking out of the room, asking her about her activities, when one of the ladies handed me her diaper bag and a piece of paper which I assumed was a flier of some sort. Much to my surprise it was a Certificate of Promotion.

I was startled to read that Norah had been promoted to Sunday school, and would no longer be going to the nursery. Jeff could see the look on my face and asked what I was holding. He was just as surprised as I was to hear that we would no longer be taking her to the nursery. We don't exactly think of her as a baby anymore, but she seems so little to be in a classroom environment.

I suppose that we shouldn't have been as shocked as we were, Norah is over 2 and you can tell she's ready for greater challenges. We are excited that she will be moving up and can't wait to see her thrive in this new environment!

The picture of her was taken by the nursery staff in September 2008. She's grown so much since then.

We have enjoyed having you in the Nursery and pray God's blessing on you as you continue to learn about His love. Please report to room 110 or 114 on Sunday, August 23, 2009 to meet your new teachers!
