Easter 2009

Easter is considered by us to be the most important religious holiday of the year. That being said we try to make it as special as we can. We normally participate in several services during Holy Week and make sure to attend church on Sunday. Due to my work schedule we were not able to do as much as we would have liked, but did get to the Good Friday service and afterward I was able to walk through my first Prayer Labyrinth. It was incredibly moving and I am very thankful for the experience.

On Friday Aunt "Lishy", "Gumma" and "Paw-Paw" helped us dye Easter eggs (thank goodness "Gumma" thought to buy some eggs and dye) and the babies had a blast. We had a big family meal then turned in for an early night. On Easter Sunday we attended service, then came home to let the babies look through their Easter baskets. They were excited to see the books and small toys, and we had a fun time watching them play. The kids enjoyed a nice Easter egg hunt at their uncles's apartment as well. After their naps we joined the rest of the family for a wonderful feast where we gave thanks to God and once again counted our many, many blessings.

We hope everyone had a Happy Easter!
