Month of Milestones

Norah's 7th month of life was filled with important milestones. In just one month she went from being fairly immobile, to pushing herself up into a seated position, and crawling. She has truly come to enjoy her freedom, and becomes furious with us when we try to contain her.

She also cut another tooth although she has decided not to follow the norm when it comes to cutting teeth. Instead of having her third tooth be one of the two top teeth, it was the one next to her lower right. We have tried to get some pictures of her teeth, but our attempts so far have proven unsuccessful.

As an added bonus to this month's milestones, Norah also experienced her first cold and stomach flu, simultaneously. Both Norah and I came down with the flu and a cold on the 31st and were completely miserable. Fortunately my mom was still in town, and was able to help ferry us between doctor appointments, made sure we stayed hydrated, medicated (or at least as medicated as a 7 month old and a pregnant gal can be), and fed. In fact, that's how mom spent her birthday, taking care of us! We couldn't have done it without her though, and are thankful that she was here to help us out.

The above video was taken during our bout with illness (Jeff was still recovering from the cold he shared with us). We all felt miserable, but couldn't resist videoing Norah as she crawled back and forth between us. My brother Matthew pointed out that her crawl is reminiscent of that of an alligator. We totally agree, but don't think that this video truly illustrates that so we will just have to post more videos of her crawling!! =)
