Grandpa Arrives!

As many of you already know, my parents live overseas. Mom was able to come into town shortly after Norah was born, but Dad was unable to get time off work and had to resort to viewing this blog and hearing cries over the phone. While anticipating the big trip he could only pass the time looking for baby books on the internet. I assume her probably ran some errands and worked a little too, but that's not nearly as interesting.

Today sweet Norah finally got to meet her grandpa in person! After a very hectic morning that required my mom coming over and helping me out.....a lot, we made it to the airport to greet Grandpa! The preceding week I was so excited for the two of them to meet that I could hardly sit still. A special moment was made moreso when she held onto his finger right away, and that isn't an honor she bestows to just anyone!

Grandpa helped Jeff and me out that night by holding her while we ate dinner. She spent a great deal of time looking at him and listening to him talk to her. It was a special treat for him because I don't think Dad is used to kids listening to him anymore! It was such a wonderful moment to get to see the two of them together at last, it actually made me a little teary eyed!
