Each night, sometime between 10pm and midnight she starts to sob inconsolably. Her only comfortable position is elevated on one of our shoulders, her legs tucked up under her, her back arched, and head thrown back.
It is the most awful thing to have to witness, as there is nothing we can do while she screams herself hoarse. All we can do is offer comfort as we wait it out. We are hopeful that the medicine will start to work as soon as possible, and she won't have to go through it anymore.
