1st Day of Camp

Today was the kids' first day of summer camp. Grandma and Papa surprised us and registered Norah and Justin for two summer camps up at church, as well as a dance camp for Norah. The kids were very excited about it, especially when they realized they would get to pick out lunch boxes and new thermoses.

Norah was much more excited than Justin, but that was to be expected since she's been asking to go to school for months now. Justin wasn't too sure about this whole, "leave mommy for 4 hours" deal, but went along with it on the off chance that they would get to play outside.

They were exhausted when we got home. Both played very hard and brought home lots of arts and crafts. They talked all the way home about what they had done and who they had played with. Justin bemoaned the fact that they did not go outside, though they did get to play in the gym. They had a snack then sat down to watch an episode of Scooby-Doo. I left the room for a moment to fold some laundry, then came back out front to find both of them passed out. We are calling the day a success.
