Pumpkin Patch

We were slow in getting to the pumpkin patch this year. Between illnesses, work schedules, and the weather, we didn't get out to the pumpkin patch until today. We had a limited amount of time since I had to be at work, and the skies looked like they were going to open up, so we loaded up the kids, grabbed the camera, and headed to the church.

Norah and Justin were extremely excited to see all the pumpkins, everywhere, and were running from one group of pumpkins to the next. They wanted to see everything and as usual, wanted to see it in different directions. It was almost impossible to get any decent pictures of them, and then it became a matter of trying to make sure they stayed in the patch and out of the parking lot.We let them each pick out a pumpkin (or baby pumpkins as Norah calls them), then went to load up. Unfortunately I had to be at work, leaving us little choice but to round up our adventurers and go. They were not finished exploring the amazing world of the pumpkin patch, and neither of them understood the explanation "Mommy needs to go to work" -so the tears fell.

Justin now excitedly screeches "PUM!" everytime he sees a pumpkin, then waves hello to it.
