My Name is........

Norah has begun to use her imagination on a daily basis and while we find it incredibly fun to watch, we don't always know "who" is talking to us. She changes her identity in the blink of an eye, so she could be Princess Annalise (the main character in the Barbie movie "Princess & the Pauper"), or she could be a Puppy Dog, or a Kitty Cat named Fiona "Fifi" (her version of Seraphina from the movie mentioned previously). She doesn't remain one of these identities for long, and is quick to inform us when she returns to Norah - her favorite identity (ours too)!

She has also started coming to us, shaking our hands and saying "Nice to see you". We aren't sure where she learned this, but we won't argue against good manners! She still says "please" and "thank you", and even throws in a "bless you" when someone sneezes!

She has also been really trying to play with Justin , instead of beside him, sometimes against his will. Most of the time he is happy to follow her around, mimicking her as best he can. Sometimes when he can't keep up, is too tired, or bonks himself, he will start to cry, prompting her to ask in a very concerned manner, "Justin, what's a matter?" then she will look at me and say, "She not happy right now". We are still working on pronouns! In an effort to cheer him up she will ask him, "You want to dance with me?" at which point I am informed that I need to turn on the music.

Ring around the Rosie has become a new favorite this month, and while we don't always get to the end of the song before we all fall down, it keeps them both entertained. Norah will grab my hand and Justin's and before we know it, we are going in a circle, trying not to trip over each other, and laughing.
She has also started sitting for long periods of time, reading from her Princess Collection story book. She has seen enough of the movies to recognize the majority of the stories, and we will hear her "reading" them aloud. It's pretty cute to listen to!
