Today was a very special day. We stayed home for Norah's first Christmas and enjoyed every moment of it. There are actually not very many pictures to mark the day, as we were too busy enjoying the sight of Norah celebrating her first Christmas.

Norah woke us up with quietly playful sounds including singing, playing with her toys, and a couple decent squawks thrown in for good measure. We went, got her from bed, then headed out to the living room to see what Santa had left for us from the night before.

After looking at all that Santa had brought and opening some presents, we got dressed and headed over to my brothers' apartment to open presents and enjoy the day with my family. They live 2 minutes away from us, so it took no time at all, and we spent the entire day opening presents, eating and laughing. Then the gang busted out Rock Band and played until late into the evening.

The day couldn't have been more perfect and Norah really enjoyed herself. The only time she would ever get frustrated with us was when upon opening a gift, we would snatch the wrapping paper away before she could get it into her mouth. Fortunately the present inside made for the perfect distraction every time.
