Four Shots for Four Months

I get how many shots? Can we talk about this?

Oh sonvazooch! That hurt a little but I'm all right!

Miss Norah had her four month checkup today. She was in an extremely pleasant mood all morning, full of smiles and laughter. She behaved well for the nurse and the doctor as measurements were taken. We are proud to report that she is happy, healthy, and steadily growing at a consistent rate.

She now weighs 14lbs 4.6 oz (75th percentile).
Her length is 26 inches (90th percentile).
Her head measures 16.5 inches (75th percentile).

Overall the doctor is very pleased with her appetite and growth, her response to stimuli, and her motor skills, even saying that she is probably the most smartest, most perfect baby ever in the history of ever. *
The real fireworks followed the measurements when it was time for immunizations. She was smiling right up to the point of the first injection. She cried out immediately, but calmed down quickly, thinking it was all over. The second shot, brought a slightly stronger response. The third shot was met with annoyance, and I'm certain she viewed the fourth and final shot as a complete outrage. "People picking on babies. Indeed! Does anyone have any manners anymore?"

She was thankful to be picked up immediately after the bandage was applied, and returned to a happy state in a matter of seconds. She spent the remainder of the day cuddling and attempting to catnap, but was a little fussier than usual.
*The doctor didn't necessarily say every little syllable of that assessment, but we knew what she meant. Honestly, look at her.
