To end 2011, we doubled down on our last car payment, and we're completely debt free!It really feels like a giant weight has been lifted from our shoulders. As a result, we have chosen to reduce Heather's retail work to once per month until June, July and August when she won't babysit during the day.
This is a life altering accomplishment after years of financial battles. From a work standpoint, Jeff's work responsibilities will be more easily completed as he can stay a little late at work to finish things up without rushing home for the evening shift. From a family standpoint, we now have the freedom to regain our nights and weekends together. We can have dinner together as a family, and on weekends, we can make quick trips to Granny's house, go the zoo, or come home after church without rushing to get Heather to work. This may seem very minor, but it's a major life change.

that is no small accomplishment! congrats on all your heard work. I know you guys have worked your arses off to get to this point. I'm jealous and so happy for y'all at the same time. I hope you did one big family happy dance (and called into Dave Ramsey's show to scream it!)
