Sleepwalking

Tonight I heard a shuffling sound as Heather and I sat relaxing on the couch. Norah appeared, walking through the kitchen, twirling her hair into a knot with one hand and stifling a yawn with the other. I picked her up, and asked her how she was doing, but was supplied no response but snoring as she lay her head against my shoulder and went completely limp.

It runs in the family. Norah and Justin's Great Grandmother, my maternal Grandmother known to all as "Granny", sleep walked regularly when she was young. My Great Grandfather followed her with both amusement and concern to see where she went and make sure she stayed out of trouble. On at least one occasion he witnessed her climb a barbed wire fence, walk through the pasture, and circle around the pond before returning to climb back into bed for the remainder of the night.

So far nothing quite that crazy has happened with Norah. Hopefully she and Justin don't start talking in their sleep like their uncles.
