Introducing Norah Grace

Our little girl entered the world with a passion, and she let everyone know about it. There was no questioning her complete lung development. She turned pink immediately as nobody can scream that loud without changing color. They moved her over to the warmer and began measuring and cleaning, none of which impressed her in the least. It was very emotional for us to see her crying and we just wanted to soothe her, but her cries were relieving at the same time.

I've concluded that babies are not as fragile as I thought. After witnessing a birth, and the way people handle them, it made me more confident holding her. If they could hold her like that, surely I'm okay when holding her carefully. It took me a while to realize I had a video camera as well as my still camera, so I filmed a few minutes of the measuring and weighing and the bath. If you ever want to see it, I recommend utilizing some volume control.

Norah Grace was born on June 4, 2007 at 12:11 PM.
She weighed 8 lbs 4 1/2 oz and was 20 1/2" in length.
She had a head full of dark brown, curly hair, beautiful pink skin, and an attitude.
She cried for 1 1/2 hours non-stop, especially during her first bath and bloodwork.
From then on, she has only cried when it was absolutely necessary, except for a few peeps every now and then just for fun.
