Norah has a voracious appetite and has gained back all of the weight she lost after birth and then some. When the promptness of "food service"isn't up to her standards, she looks at us with a look of such great disapproval it's almost funny. That's normally accompanied by the loudest, maddest cry imaginable which turns her whole body completely red with anger.
Jeff had mentioned to my mom and me that when he was changing her diaper, it looked like she was trying to roll over. Naturally we were both skeptical until my mom laid her on her stomach a few days later. She really didn't like being on her tummy because she couldn't see what was going on around her, so at 1 week 4 days old, she was just mad enough to roll over! Then she repeated the feat twice more for good measure.
Norah also loves to snuggle up in our arms, and seems to believe that's the only way she can sleep. That makes it hard for us to get much meaningful sleep at night. Last night Jeff and I probably combined for 6-7 hours sleep. In the daytime she is starting to stay awake for longer periods of time, giving us more time to admire her beautiful blue eyes and is starting to vocalize. Jeff fully expects her to be walking and talking sometime next month.
